Nature and the beauty of God's handiwork have always held Linda's fascination. As a youngster, the neighboring woods and mountain streams of Pennsylvania were her playground. Today, as a Marco Islander, the incredible scenery, flora, and fauna provide the inspiration for many of her paintings.
Linda is an educator as well as an artist. After earning a B.A. and Masters in Art Ed. from the University of Pa., she became an elementary and secondary art teacher. Always an eclectic artist who dabbled in everything from stained glass windows to decorative painting, she zeroed in on pastels after taking the late Irving Boker’s pastel class. In the past 10 years her pastel paintings have been juried into many shows, including the International Association of Pastel Societies Exhibit, and she has won a number of awards. Linda is an Associate Member of the Pastel Society of America and maintains membership in the SW Florida Pastel Society, the United Arts Council, Naples Art Association, and the Art Centers of Marco Island and Bonita Springs. Recently her focus has shifted to sharing what she has learned to aspiring
pastel artists.
"Just to watch my students blossom and grow is a joy-filled, rewarding experience!"
