Barney Halaschak taught clay wheel classes, beginning and experienced, for several years at the Art League, including Young Artist Middle School program and Home School students. He taught workshops on Inexpensive Spray Glazing Basics and “Stretch” workshops on Improving Techniques at the Wheel. He is a former Industrial Arts Teacher with beliefs in individualized attention for student success. Emphasis is on finding creativity on the wheel as a recreational opportunity while learning of the nature of clay, and excitement of producing artful work. Personal interest in clay works are natural surfaces, and Marco Island emphasis in nature.(Love those lizards!). Barney is an initial member of the Clay Guild, and former Art League Board Member. He was a public school educator for thirty-four years, and taught at Purdue and Indiana Universities.
